The Wind: Caitlin Gerard and Director Emma Tammi On Solitude And Wind Sounds in Western [Exclusive Interview]

Western horrors are quite a rarity.

Emma Tammi-directed The Wind filled in that gap perfectly with this intense film about a young prairie woman driven towards insanity in an isolated untamed farm in the western frontier in the late 1800s by believing the devil is after her.

The film stars Caitlin Gerard, Julia Goldani Telles, Ashley Zukerman, Dylan McTee and Miles Anderson. The script is written by Teresa Sutherland.

LRM Online sat down with actress Caitlin Gerard and director Emma Tammi to discuss the ins and outs of The Wind. We talked about the production at two cabins in the middle of nowhere, the usage of wind sounds and music to drive the narrative and limited dialogue form of storytelling.

The Wind will be opened in limited markets this Friday, April 5.
