Even with The Big Bang Theory in its farewell season, CBS has assured viewers that at least one version of Sheldon Cooper will remain on television as the network has renewed Young Sheldon for two more seasons.
The series that follows the early life of Dr. Sheldon Cooper growing up in east Texas and is narrated by Jim Parsons, who I assume most of you know, for better or wose depending on your opinion of the show, made the character famous, even if you aren’t a fan of the show.
Kelly Kahl CBS Entertainment president:
“Thanks to Chuck Lorre’s and [co-creator/showrunner] Steve Molaro’s outstanding creative leadership, Young Sheldon has been a powerful performer for the network with an audience that towers over most of the television landscape.”

I don’t keep The Big Bang Theory at the top of my must watch list, I also don’t hate the series, I have seen most of the episodes (Sheldon and James Earl Jones hanging out, is my favorite episode)
I’ve seen a handful of Young Sheldon episodes, I just don’t have time or room in my queue, especialy for a network sitcom. It’s definitely a different type of show than Big Bang Theory, but for fans wanting to see the era and events that made Sheldon into the fascinating individual that he is, the show does its job
