A&E has a new series coming in 2016 that will be a sequel/spinoff of The Omen. The series, entitled Damien, will follow the demon child from The Omen all grown up. The original film told the story of a family’s horrors, as they discover that the boy they adopted is the Antichrist. It seems like a natural extension for A&E, which struck gold with Bates Motel– another series that mines a classic horror film and expands upon it’s lure.

They’ve just released a teaser for the show, which you can see right here:

The ten-episode ‘Damien’ follows the adult life of Damien Thorn (James), the mysterious child from the 1976 film who has grown up, seemingly unaware of the satanic forces around him. Haunted by his past, Damien must now come to terms with his true destiny — that he is the Antichrist, the most feared man throughout the ages.
