When Starz launches Ash vs Evil Dead on Halloween, it’s going to be a form of wish-fulfillment that fans of the original Sam Raimi trilogy of films that it’s based on have long yearned for. The series, which will be a sequel to the films, will drop us back into the world of Ash Williams in the present day.

The featurette below, perhaps more than anything else that’s been released about the series so far, sheds some light on what we can expect:

Ash vs Evil Dead will once again feature the one-of-a-kind talents of Bruce Campbell, as he reprises his iconic role from Evil Dead’s I & II, and The Army of Darkness. This time around he’s joined by Ray Santiago (Meet The FockersGirlfight) and Dana DeLorenzo (A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas), as they form a threesome to take on the evil that Ash has unleashed from the Book of The Dead.

Ash vs Evil Dead will premiere on Starz on Halloween night, October 31.
