Christopher Lloyd Would Like To Be On Rick And Morty

GREAT SCOTT!

The beginning of something truly wonderful may have taken place. Actor Christopher Lloyd, perhaps best known as Dr. Emmett L. Brown from the Back to the Future franhchise, has expressed interest in voicing a character in a Rick and Morty episode. Those that watch the show know why this would be awesome, and for those that don’t, Rick and Morty’s Rick Sanchez is based off of Lloyd’s Doc Brown.

Lloyd recently spoke with the Phoenix New Times, and says he he has

“I don’t follow it closely, but I’ve seen a few episodes and I gotta tell you, I think it’s a lot of fun. I know it’s some kind of parody of Doc and Marty.”

Lloyd as asked if he would want to be a part of the show.

“I’d like to, of course. I think it’s really fun.”

In response to the proposal of playing Rick Sanchez’s father, Lloyd said:

“that’d be fun.”

Most fans of Rick and Morty have seen the incredibly vulgar webseries, The Adventures of Doc and Mharti, and if Rick and Morty being a Back to the Future parody wasn’t apprent enough, these weird homages to the time-traveling film series should leave no doubt. Anyone who has the ability to do so should prevent Christopher Lloyd from ever watching these episodes.

I would assume that Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon would be open this, and with the fourth season in the works, the timing for this to happen seeems perfect.
