CinemaCon 2018: First Trailer For Smallfoot Revealed

The legend of humans are real.

Or rather the yetis are real.

Warner Brothers Pictures released the first trailer for the animated film Smallfoot during their studio presentation at CinemaCon today.

During the reveal, Channing Tatum, Zendaya and Common were present to introduce the trailer to the exhibitors of the convention.

The story follows Migo, a yeti who witnessed a human after a plane crash. Ridiculed by his tribe, he left the safety of the mountain in seeking evidence that humans do really exist.

Other voice cast members include Gina Rodriguez, Danny DeVito, James Coren, Yara Shahidi, Jimmy Tatro and LeBron James.

“For my character, homing it down for millennials out there, she’s constantly thinking and constantly wants to know on what’s out there. That’s a true reflection on who I am. I’m trying to constantly learn. I may do things that world thinks might be a little bit crazy. That’s what these [characters] are trying to prove,” said Zendaya on how she related to her character of Meechee.

On being in an animated movie, Common likes the improvisation style in voice acting from regular acting.

Common stated, “It’s the freedom. You can do anything crazy. It’s the time to be free as you want it to be. Knowing this is an animated film, you don’t really know how it will turn out. But, once you see the trailer, now it actually makes sense.”

Smallfoot will be stomping into theaters nationwide on September 28.
