CinemaCon 2018: Jumanji Sequel On Schedule for Christmas 2019

Star Wars will not have the Christmas theatrical release lockdown.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle had a brilliant run of over $400 million in theaters domestically. It also received one of the best receptions by attendees of CinemaCon in 2017.

It’s no surprise that there has to be a sequel and Dwayne Johnson is confirmed to be back.

During the Sony Pictures presentation, it is confirmed that there will be a sequel and it is on schedule for Christmas of 2019. None of the other co-stars of Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Karen Gillan are confirmed at this time. It is doubtful they would decide to drop any of the other co-stars, because the humor chemistry was just perfect.

The sequel is currently under development with writers Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner.

Not sure after Jumanji: The Board Game and Jumanji: The Video Game, on where this sequel may head towards next. Maybe the VR route?

Did you enjoy the previous Jumanji movie and do you want to see another one?
