Colin Trevorrow Says He and Co-Writer Emily Carmichael Refer To Jurassic World 3 As Jurassic Park 6

The original Jurassic Park is one of the most beloved films of all time, and while the two sequels don’t quite match up to the quality of the original, they still make for a fun trilogy. Next year will see the conclusion of the trilogy that spun off from Jurassic Park, Jurassic World.

Colin Trevorrow, whose directorial skills were used to open the trilogy, and will now be used to close them recently spoke with Empire Magazine and talked about how he and his co-writer, Emily Carmichael refer to the upcoming Jurassic World 3  as Jurassic Park VI. You can check out what Trevorrow had to say down below.

“We’d have had to come up with a reason why Ellie, Malcolm and Grant all went to the theme park on the exact same day it broke down – again. The next film allows the legacy characters to be a part of the story in an organic way. Emily Carmichael and I call it ‘Jurassic Park VI’, because it is. You start asking the most basic questions: who are these people now? What do they make of the new world they’re living in, and how do they feel about being part of its history? Ultimately it will be in collaboration with the actors. They know and love these characters. We’ll do it together.””

As mentioned by Trevorrow in the above quote, the franchise’s iconic characters will return in Sam Neill’s Dr. Alan Grant, Laura Dern’s Dr. Ellie Sattler, and making his second appearance in the Jurassic World franchise, will be Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Ian Malcolm.
