It’s no secret that Ivan Drago will be playing a role in the upcoming Creed 2 film. In fact, it sounds like it won’t just be Drago, but his son as well, if we’re to believe Sylvester Stallone (and given that he’s the writer and director of Creed 2, we’re inclined to believe him).
But who would be able to play Drago’s son? Well, MMA fighter Sage Northcutt is a hopeful contender. Speaking with the MMA Hour, Northcutt revealed his hopes of landing the role, saying:
“The new Creed 2 movie is coming out so I was actually going to audition for that. Got a little audition tape so hopefully that goes through. That would be pretty neat. Being Ivan Drago’s son in the movie? That would be pretty fun.”
So what can we take from this? Well, first of all, he certainly looks the part.

In fact, if they wanted to go with a Young Ivan Drago, he’d be a perfect fit. The jury is out on whether or not he can act, and if he can, let’s hope that audition tape shows off the skill. If not, we’d much rather seem someone else take the role.
That being said, this also seems to reveal that casting is currently underway for Creed 2 — at least for Drago’s son. Either that or Northcutt sent off a cold audition tape, which we suppose is possible.
