Hello, anime fans! August is nearly here, which means the Virtual Crunchyroll Expo, 2021 is right around the corner. Virtual Crunchyroll Expo (V-CRX) is Crunchyroll’s digital take on their flagship convention. This year’s event will feature a jam-packed lineup of panels, premieres, guests, performances, and much more. The event will take place from August 5–7, and it is 100% free to attend. The lineup is super stacked this year with voice actors, creators, producers, and so on. Some notable names on the list include the cast and talent from My Hero Academia, Battle Game in 5 Seconds, Sword Art Online, Demon Slayer, Re:Zero, To Your Eternity, Black Clover, and still more. I’m most excited for the band performances and the English Voice Actors Roundtable with Cherami Leigh, Bryce Papenbrook, and Zeno Robinson.
Also on the schedule are performances from Japanese bands: 7 Billion Dots, Magic of Life, Rhythmic Toy World, and the BURNOUT SYNDROMES.These bands are best known for supplying opening theme songs for anime such as BORUTO, Dr. Stone, Haikyuu!!, and Yowamushi Pedal Glory Line.

Following up a stellar turnout from last year, the Crunchyroll-Hime’s Cosplay Cup is another hyped event this year. Hosted by Mario Bueno and Vampy Bit Me, Crunchyroll-Hime’s Cosplay Cup will feature cosplayers from around the world putting their creativity on full display in this epic cosplay competition. Make sure to check the competition out on Friday night from 7PM to 10PM!
