Damon Wayans Is Leaving Lethal Weapon TV Series

The Lethal Weapon TV series only just dealt with one big casting SNAFU when they kicked off Clayne Crawford from the production. This came following allegations of misconduct, with Crawford pretty much being painted as the bad guy. However, with him gone and Sean William Scott now taking on the new leading role, you’d expect they’d be able to trudge forth and build a relationship between Murtaugh and his new partner Cole.

You’d be wrong. Actor Damon Wayans recently sat down with EUR, and in his discussions, he randomly brought up his desire to quit the series.

“I am going to be quitting the show in December, after we finish the initial 13. So, I really don’t know what they’re planning but that’s what I’m planning. I’m a 58-year-old diabetic and I’m working 16-hour days.”

But it’s not just the exhaustion. Wayans also seems to be fed up with having no time to with his family.

“It’s hard for me to play this loving, supportive father/husband/ friend on TV, but be the guy in life that is telling everyone, I can’t I have to work. You have to look yourself in the eye and ask, who are you? It can’t be all about work. I’m from a big family, a loving family. All the family gatherings, I haven’t seen them. I’m too tired or I can’t because it conflicts with work… I have seven grandkids. I’ve been missing recitals and graduations. To me it’s just not worth it. There is a better way to live life.”

If you watch the video from the site, it’s clear the man is exhausted and ready to call it quits. I say go ahead and pack it in and go enjoy your family, but what do you think? Do you think this’ll be the end of the show that only just found its footing after another big problem? Let us know down below!
