Dark Horse To Release God Of War 4-Part Mini-Series Comic Book

The PlayStation 4 exclusive God of War has been very successful. It sold 3.1 million copies worldwide in the first three days, becoming the fastest selling PS4 exclusive for the company. By the end of the month it had sales of over five million. With so many worldwide invested in the life of Kratos and his son Atreus Dark Horse, Santa Monica Studio and Sony Interactive Entertainment have announced that they will be publishing a God of War 4 part comic book mini-series as a tie-in for the game.

This mini-series will center on Kratos’ actions between the events of the original trilogy of games and the newest game. At the beginning of the mini-series we will find Kratos living in the remote Norse wilds trying to find peace after his war on the gods of Olympus. He unintentionally sparks a feud with a mysterious cult of berserkers after attempting to save a stranger who is being mauled by a bear.

The series will be written by Chris Roberson (IZombie, Witchfinder), with artwork by Tony Parker (Mayday, This Damned Band), colors by Dan Jackson (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and letter John Roshell. The covers for the book will be provided by E.M. Gist (Will Save the Galaxy for Food). Check out the artwork for the first cover below!
