Dark Phoenix Gets A Stylized WonderCon Poster

The Dark Phoenix movie is coming, and the X-Men will be the ones who have to suffer the consequences. 20th Century Fox first took a stab at this ambitious storyline many years ago in the much-maligned X-Men: The Last Stand — though it did go on to be financially successful for them. Now, all these years later, their timeline has gone full circle and will see Jean Grey go through all the heartbreak of endangering her mutant family once more.

The film is having a presence at this year’s WonderCon, and in celebration of that, the official Twitter account has released a brand-new poster. Previous posters, while fairly stylized overall, haven’t gone full comic book. This latest one totally does, as it shows Jean Grey succumbing to her Dark Phoenix abilities. You can take a look at the poster down below!

Honestly, I’m very interested to see what comes of this movie. While director Simon Kinberg has been with this franchise for many years as a writer and producer, this is his first time as a director, so I want to see if he managed to knock it out of the park. That being said, there has also been some bad press about the film that came with the extensive delay. While delays are often made so the studio can fix a problem, I hope it didn’t result in them having to Frankenstein a movie together.

What do you think of the new poster, and do you think it’ll be a good movie? Sound off down below!
