Well what did you think of that? I must say given the source material for this is effectively a live-action version of Teen Titans without Cyborg, I wasn’t expecting the gritty tone of this show.

This is the first time we have seen any real footage of the upcoming TV show, which will be shown on DC’s brand new streaming service. The DC Universe service has also been priced and users can now begin to register for the service which will cost $74.99 per year. This might initially seem quite expensive but when compared to the likes of Netflix and Amazon Prime it’s actually competitively priced. However, it’s going to attract a far more niche market than either of those two giants.

Titans certainly looks interesting and it’s not for kids given Robin’s use of the F-bomb in the trailer. Here is the official synopsis for the show

Titans follows young heroes from across the DC Universe as they come of age and find belonging in a gritty take on the classic Teen Titans franchise. Dick Grayson and Rachel Roth, a special young girl possessed by a strange darkness, get embroiled in a conspiracy that could bring Hell on Earth. Joining them along the way are the hot-headed Starfire and loveable Beast Boy. Together they become a surrogate family and team of heroes.

What do you think so far of Titans, is it enough to make you start thinking about that DC Universe streaming service? Let us know in the comments section below.
