Nintendo Switch quickly seems to be becoming the console of choice for ports, remakes, and everything not-so-processor intensive. With its portability capabilities, a lot of gamers are frothing at the mouths for some hardcore gaming goodness. The first such game came in the form of Skyrim, and while it’s not the best-running port of the game, the fact a game with such a large scope is able to be played on the go has fans’ imaginations running.

One franchise gamers want to see for the home/portable hybrid is Blizzard’s action-RPG series Diablo. While the developer hasn’t so much as said a peep in recent months, one interesting tweet had fans freaking out:

Talk about a stretch, right? Polygon got in touch with Blizzard Entertainment, and a spokesperson had the following to say in an email:
“We can assure you we’re not that clever. [It was] meant to be a fun community engagement piece. We have nothing to announce.”
That’s certainly disappointing, because if there is a franchise that is a perfect fit for the Switch, it’s Diablo. While Blizzard says they have nothing to announce, the momentum for Nintendo’s latest system, as well as support from devs like Bethesda, makes it so that Diablo 3 heading to the Switch is not an impossibility.
