Doom Patrol: New Promo Released For Episode 3

I tell you what, for all of the issues DC has with their big screen interpretations, they seem to have it down when it comes to the small screen.  Coming off the tail end of Titans, which was a super dark take on the group, came Doom Patrol.  I’ll be honest, I wasn’t sure if it would fly, but Rotten Tomatoes has slapped a certified fresh score of 93% on the edgy show.

Doom Patrol was DC’s “version” of X-Men, and actually came out a couple months prior to the legendary comic line arriving in June of 1963, and X-Men followed that September of 1963. This has made some believe that Stan Lee took some of the ideas from the DC side.

The show itself has performed fairly well with the interesting mix of misfit characters.  They blend well together, and the edginess allowed on the DC Universe makes the group extremely reflective of the source material, and just a fun show not needing to live up to some of the expectations of other DC characters.
