If you haven’t heard, the classic kids game show, Double Dare is getting a reboot. The once popular Nickelodeon show that featured trivia, physical challenges and of course slime is on its way back to the network. With the news of the reboot coming about a month ago, the show has now chosen the person who will be the new host. Actress Liza Koshy has been chosen as the game show’s new host. However, Nickelodeon said that original host, Marc Summers will stay on for “key color commentary”.
In a Media release, Koshy had this to say:
“This is a dream that I have been dreaming to live! From watching ‘Double Dare’ to hosting it!? I am ready for a summer of slime and nose picking. I can’t think of many shows like ‘Double Dare’ that have the ability to bond people together — those who grew up watching the original series can now pass along their love for this game show to today’s kids,” Summers added. “It’s an honor to be a part of this reboot.”

Former Host Marc Summers added:
“I can’t think of many shows like ‘Double Dare’ that have the ability to bond people together — those who grew up watching the original series can now pass along their love for this game show to today’s kids. It’s an honor to be a part of this reboot.”
It will be nice to see Summers still included in the show, but a new host is probably needed for the younger audience. I loved the show as a kid and will be checking out a few episodes of the reboot for nostalgic purposes.
