Evangeline Lilly Stood And Cheered At This One Scene In Avengers: Infinity War

Avengers: Infinity War is now out on full home release, so we can now watch it in all it’s glory as many times as we like. I actually haven’t bought it for my Blu-ray collection yet, but I will be ASAP. The movie is chock full of so many geek-out, hair raising scenes, I can’t wait to watch it again in the comfort of my own armchair.

One of the real fist pumping hero moments was during the films final battle in Wakanda. Scarlett Witch was on the ground as Proxima Midnight closed in on her, declaring that she was all alone. However, she was not alone at all as both Black Widow and Okoye appear behind Midnight and all three of them kick her ass royally.

Wasp actor and star of Ant-Man and the Wasp Evangeline Lilly stood up and cheered when she saw this scene at the premiere, here is what the actress said at an appearance at Fan Expo Canada.

“When I was watching Avengers: Infinity War, there’s this moment…by the way, I was at the premiere so I was in a theater full of very enthusiastic watchers. There was this moment where one of the female Avengers…I believe it was Scarlet Witch, is trapped in a trench, and that horrible Thanos female villain lady I don’t know what her name is, but she was gonna kill her and she said something to the effect of ‘now you’re all alone’. And what happened next…She’s not alone bitch!! Sorry.”

The outburst didn’t go unnoticed either as Lilly explains, her co-star Paul Rudd also noticed her delight at seeing these female heroes band together.

“And I literally got out of my seat and I was like ‘Yeah, yeah!’ And it was this amazing moment with women just supporting women and that feeling in my gut. I didn’t mean to, but I was on my feet before I knew what was happening and Paul Rudd’s looking at me like ‘what are you doing?’ But that’s what I want to see. Women supporting women.”

I loved the scene in question, though for me it still ranks behind Thor and Cap’s entrances at different points of the movie as my jump out of your seat moments.
