The year of 2019 has all kinds of wonderful things in store for nerds like us. Arguably some of the most anticipated movies ever will be released. From Avengers: Endgame to the final installment into the Skywalker saga with Star Wars: Episode IX. So which film is the most anticipated? Fandango polled over 3,500 people to find out. You can check out the results of the poll below.

It really shouldn’t surprise anyone that Avengers: Endgame tops the list. After the comic book masterpiece that was Infinity War, it makes sense that moviegoers would be most excited for the conclusion. Managing Editor, Erik Davis commented on the findings.

“There’s 10 years of investment built into this series. Fans are dying to see how it ends. They were definitely happy with the last ‘Avengers,’ but it was a bit of a hard pill to swallow, as entertaining as it was. … Do they bring these characters back? This film is going to set the stage for whatever the next iteration of these Marvel movies is.”

This will be the first year that a Star Wars movie is set to be released and it isn’t the film that I am most excited for. Thanks, Last Jedi. The eighth and final season of Game of Thrones tops my list with Endgame coming in at a close second. Episode IX is probably #3, however I am also pretty excited for the third season of Stranger Things.
