Fantasy Island: Trailer Shows Us That With Every Fantasy Comes A Catch

In the late 70’s there was an American fantasy drama created by Gene Levitt called Fantasy Island. The series starred Ricardo Montalban as the mysterious island host and fantasy enabler Mr. Roarke, as well as his assistant Tattoo who is played by Herve Villechaize. In this series visitors to the remote island would pay a high price in order to live out a particular fantasy, only to find out later about the unexpected consequences.

Now Blumhouse is taking this classic series and putting their own spin on it in the new horror film, Fantasy Island. Today Sony Pictures Entertainment released a trailer for the upcoming film that is set to debut on Valentine’s Day 2020. Check it out above!

As you can see by the trailer, this feature film version of the series sees Mr. Roarke making the secret dreams of his guests come true at a luxurious and remote tropical resort. But when some of those fantasies end up turning into nightmares, the guests will have to solve the mysteries of the island in order to survive.

Fantasy Island is directed by Jeff Wadlow who also is credited as a writer along with Chris Roach and Jillian Jacobs, based on the television series by created by Levitt. Wadlow is also on board as an executive producer along with Couper Samuelson and Jeanette Volturno. This film is being produced by Jason Blum and Marc Toberoff.
