Fast And Furious: Hobbs And Shaw Spin-Off Gets Odd Title?

We’ve known for a long-ass time that Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham would be reprising their roles as Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw in an upcoming Fast and Furious spin-off. Up until now, we’ve been giving it the name Hobbs and Shaw, for obvious reasons. It’s also the name the studio has been calling it…but what will its official title be?

Well, I worry this may be a bit of a false start in terms of the naming, but in a recent piece from EW, the writer of the piece gave the film the title Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw. It’s no surprise that the studio has decided to capitalize on the Fast and Furious brand name. After all, it is one of the biggest original film franchises ever created, so why not? It’s just a long and unwieldy title that seems to take FOREVER to get to the point. But we’re sure that won’t hurt its bottom line. If nothing else, Dwayne Johnson remains predictably excited about this movie, which he sold to the writer of the piece:

“There’s going to be some big, ‘Oh, holy s**, I did not see that coming’ moments!”

We’ll be the judge of that, Mr. Johnson, though as silly as this franchise is, it has rarely disappointed me in the ridiculous and over-the-top department, so I’m sure I’m in.

But what do you think? Do you like the long-winded title? Let us know down below!
