FCBD 2019 DC Titles To Give Us Our First Look At DC Ink and DC Zoom Imprints

Last February we got the announcement of DC’s two new original graphic novel publishing imprints DC Ink, which is meant to focus on young adult readers and DC Zoom, which focuses on middle-grade readers. Both of the imprints feature authors that already have young adult and middle-grade fan bases. Today DC announced that they will be featuring both of these imprints at this years annual Free Comic Book Day on Saturday May 4th, 2019.

DC’s Gold Title for the event will be Under The Moon: A Catwoman Tale FCBD Special Edition. This book will feature a free chapter from the upcoming young adult original graphic novel by New York Times best selling author Lauren Myracle with artwork by the very talented Isaac Goodhart. The full graphic novel will be available in stores on May 7th, 2019. Along with this chapter, it will also include a sneak preview for the upcoming DC Ink title Teen Titans: Raven by New York Times and USA bestselling author Kami Garcia with artwork by the fan favorite Gabriel Picolo. This book will be available in stores on July 2nd, 2019. Check out the cover and the description below!

Their silver title that DC will offer will be a kids title that feature two free exclusive chapters from Dear Justice League, that will star Superman and Hawkgirl. This original graphic novel for middle graders is written by New York Times best selling author Michael Northrop with artwork by Gustavo Duarte. This book is scheduled to be available in stores August 6th, 2019. Check out the cover and description below!

DEAR JUSTICE LEAGUE FCBD SPECIAL EDITION (Silver Title)

The greatest Super Heroes in the DC universe, the Justice League, answer mail from their biggest fans–kids! Courtesy of Michael Northrop, the New York Times bestselling author of TombQuest, and artist Gustavo Duarte, DC’s iconic Super Heroes find time to answer questions both big and small when they are not busy saving the world. Their honest and humorous responses will surprise and delight readers of any age, as it turns out that being a superhero is not too different from being a kid. This FCBD special edition features two chapters starring Superman and Hawkgirl from DC Zoom’s upcoming original graphic novel, DEAR JUSTICE LEAGUE.

As a parent of a 8 year old superhero fan, I am very excited to present these titles to my daughter especially because she loves to read. What do you think of these titles for kids? Let us know in the comment section below!

Both the Gold and Silver FCBD books will be available on May 4th, 2019 at your participating comic book shop.
