Well, that didn’t take long, did it? Just an hour or so after Margot Robbie took to social media to give us a first look at Harley Quinn’s new getup in Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), it looks like they’ve gone and released a teaser for the superhero/villain team-up film. You can check out the clip for yourself above.

Of course, with the film just starting production, this isn’t really something of real substance. More than anything, it almost looks like a costume photoshoot, featuring many of the characters we already know to exist in the movie. In addition to Harley herself, we get glimpses of Ewan McGregor as Black Mask, Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress, and more.

The shots are super quick, and those of you expecting an actual film-quality teaser may be disappointed. I’ve even seen some disappointed comments comparing this to a TV show. Rest assured, this is just a tease. This will not be in the film and is meant to get us hyped. As I said above, I wouldn’t be surprised if this was just a costume test for all the characters.

“After splitting up with The Joker, Harley Quinn and three other female superheroes – Black Canary, Huntress and Renee Montoya – come together to save the life of a little girl (Cassandra Cain) from an evil crime lord.”
