Fox has just released its first official film clip from Dawn of The Planet of The Apes. They released it through MTV, and you can see it right here:

The film stars Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Enrique Murciano, Kirk Acevedo, and Judy Greer.

The film follows a growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.

“Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” is directed by Matt Reeves from a screenplay written by Scott Z. Burns, Amanda Silver, Rick Jaffa, and Mark Bomback.

20th Century Fox will release “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” worldwide on July 11, 2014.
