On June 21st we will see the Andy’s former toys take center stage for another adventure in Pixar’s Toy Story 4. On the same day, another Andy will begin his horrific adventure with his new toy Buddi who he names Chucky. Today Orion Pictures/MGM has released the first full trailer for their upcoming re-imagination of the classic horror film Child’s Play. Check it out above!

As you can see from the trailer above, although there are a lot of similarities between the killer dolls, the modern tech spin on this film’s version of Chucky is very different from the possessed doll that we remember from the 1988 film. His ability to interact with other electronic devices will make for some interesting and horrific scenes in the film. Also it will be interesting to see if this group of kids stay together after the resolution of the film for a kid of team that will need to come together again to take down the doll.

Along with the trailer the studios also released their first official movie poster for the film featuring that classic kitchen knife Chucky is known to use to take down his victims. Check out below!

Child’s Play stars Aubrey Plaza, Gabriel Bateman, Brian Tyree Henry and Mark Hamill as the voice of Chucky. The film is being directed by Lars Klevberg based off the script written by Tyler BUrton Smith. On board producing the film is Seth Graham-Smith and David Katzenberg.
