First Trailer Hits For The Man Who Killed Hitler And Then Bigfoot

Well, this trailer for The Man Who Killed Hitler and then Bigfoot has intrigued me quite a bit. When I first heard the title for this movie starring Sam Elliot, I kinda assumed some comedic elements. Yet the trailer above seems to play very seriously. I haven’t read up on the movie much, but it seems to me that Elliot is some sort of US secret weapon, an action hero in the mold of Bond, Hunt, Jones etc. The movie seems to be both telling the backstory of Elliot’s character in WWII, where he apparently killed Hitler (played by Aidan Turner), and also the current timeline story where he is trying to kill Bigfoot (played by Elliot).

The reason for going after Bigfoot seems to be some life-threatening virus or bug being spread by the mythical creature. You couldn’t make this up if you were one of the writers on Sharknado. But whilst I expected huge amounts of cheese and maybe a dumb yet fun tall tale, this seems to be something very different.

As I said above, I am intrigued.

The movie releases on February 8, so not long to go now and I’ll be keeping an eye out for reviews of this. It’s directed by Robert D. Krzykowski and released through Epic pictures. I wonder if we could have a sleeper hit on our hands here, but it really depends on audience word of mouth, because I don’t see the casual moviegoer choosing a film with a title like this.
