Game of Thrones to return is going to be long and exhausting, much like the winters in Westeros. The popular HBO show won’t return until Spring 2019, over a year’s time. The six-episode final season is currently in production, and today we get a small glimpse into the process with some photos from the set, thanks to the Twitter account of Oakleaf Photography. Well, we can definitely see some castles and if you look close you can make out an army of soldiers, some folks in the comments of the post believe they are unsullied, but to me there is nothing definitive. If you see something I missed, please let me know in the comments.
With the Night King and the Army of the Dead on the movie toward Westeros, the culmination of arguably the greatest television show of all time will do its best to end any debate and take its place as numero uno.
It’s nice that show-runners Benioff and Weiss will get to end their show on their terms, that they will get to finish the story the way the always intended. Props to HBO as well for allowing the producing duo the opportunity to finish out their vision properly.
