Game of Thrones Prequel Pilot Has Wrapped Production

Production has wrapped on the pilot episode of the Game of Thrones prequel series currently known as Bloodmoon. The news was announced today at the Television Critics Association press tour by HBO President Casey Bloys.

The prequel series will show viewers a much different Westeros than they seen in Game of Thrones with the show’s setting being thousands of years before the battle for the Iron Throne. Creator of the novels that both Game of Thrones and the upcoming prequel series are based on, George R.R. Martin recently gave us confirmation that House Stark will be apart of the prequels and that the Lannisters will be absent from the series
