Disclaimer: This post contains spoilers for Season 1 of Titans.
Some people who weren’t really watching Titans during its first season did a pretty good job of complaining when the Caped Crusader himself popped into the story. Partially because all roads seem to lead back to Batman, but also partially because Batman wasn’t actually revealed. It was very much on how Supergirl treated Superman for that first season. I mean, did we really need another show that refused to show the BIG hero of the universe?
Of course, those who actually did watch the show know that it wasn’t really Batman at all, but one big hallucination created by Trigon to manipulate Dick Grayson. In that respect, it makes a lot of sense that they didn’t want to give us a full-on look. But should they actually bring Batman into the story, they’d have to cast him at some point, and it looks like that time is already here.
According to a new report from Deadline, Bruce Wayne will be headed to the new season of the DC Universe series, and that Game of Throne’s Iain Glen will be the man taking on the job. The Scottish actor is best known for playing Jorah Mormont in the show, but he’s also had roles in movies like Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and Kick-Ass 2.

The official character description reads:
“After decades of fighting crime as Batman, billionaire Bruce Wayne is just as driven to protect Gotham from evil as he was in his prime. Needing to reconcile his relationship with Dick Grayson, the duo hope to forge a new dynamic as Bruce tries to help his former sidekick and the Titans achieve success.”
It is unclear whether or not Bruce will don the Batman costume in the show, but seeing an aged Bruce Wayne will be a nice thing to see in a live-action TV show.
