Ghostbusters 3 Working Title Revealed

A few days ago fans of the Ghostbusters franchise rejoiced (at least most of them) as news hit the movie world that a third Ghostbusters film will be coming our way. The film has long been talked about and hoped for, even back before the all-female 2016 Ghostbusters film, which, to put it lightly, wasn’t well received by fans, for a myriad of reasons.

Today comes more news on Ghostbusters 3, which we learn from Production Weekly now has a working title, “Rust City”. Whether or not this title has anything to do with the plot of the movie, is anyone’s guess at this point. It may be central to the story, it also could have no real meaning to the plot of the film as a title like “Blue Harvest” had no meaning to Return of the Jedi.

I loved the Ghostbusters as a child and still do. Yeah, the second film with the pink slime taking over New York City didn’t live up to the first film, but it was still a fun adventure with Ray, Egon, Peter, and Winston. Hopefully the upcoming third film will be a return to form for the franchise.

Which one of you Keymasters or Gatekeepers have theories on what the working title could mean to the film’s plot? Let us know in the comments down below!
