Glass: Current Cut Has James McAvoy With 21 Different Personalities

This past weekend at San Diego Comic-Con, I had a chance to join in the panel for Universal’s upcoming superhero sequel, Glass, from writer-director M. Night Shyamalan. The film was presented in the legendary Hall H, with Shyamalan joining the panel alongside stars Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson.

Sadly, McAvoy was under the weather, and therefore couldn’t make the panel, but that didn’t stop Shyamalan from sharing a fun fact from the film. As you may know after seeing Split, McAvoy’s character has many different personalities in his mind, one of which allows him to physically change his body into what is known as the Beast.

Given that Glass is a sequel, it makes sense that they’d need to up the scope a bit, right? Shyamalan went on to confirm that in the current cut of the film, McAvoy’s character has 21 different personalities. In the recently-released trailer, Sarah Paulson’s character cites “two dozen,” but as it stands, 21 is likely the most we’ll see (unless they end up cutting extra scenes, which is very possible).

How do you feel about Shyamalan upping the ante as far as the Beast is concerned? Do you like the fact that we’ll be seeing more personalities, or were you hoping to see more of the same ones we saw in Split? Let us know your thoughts down below!
