Glass: Sam Jackson’s Mr. Glass Wants To Show The World Superheroes Are Real

Next year’s Glass will see the collision of three big characters. The first is Bruce Willis’ David Dunn, who was introduced in the early M. Night Shyamalan film Unbreakable. The second is The Beast, introduced in the more recent thriller Split. The final is another Unbreakable returner, and perhaps one of the most intriguing villains of all time, Mr. Glass.

Over the course of the past couple days, we’ve seen motion poster teasers for both Dunn (the Overseer) and the Beast, but in this latest teaser, we are reintroduced to Mr. Glass and given another moniker he’ll apparently go by: The Mastermind. Check out his teaser below.

This is a very fitting, if not mildly confusing name. From what I understood, Glass was already his villain name, so to give him another one would seemingly already dilute his strong, thematically-driven Glass. That being said, I guess a villain really wouldn’t want his main weakness flaunted…that’d be like Superman being called Kryptonman, right?

Another interesting bit based on the trailer here is that his main goal doesn’t seem to be any specific world-conquering one, but one where the rest of the world is made aware of the existence of superheroes. At the end of the day, the poor man is just a child hoping to see his fantasies in the real world…so tragic.
