Glass Teaser Introduces Bruce Willis As The Overseer

We live in the Golden Age of superhero films, and with that, it’s easy to forget that there was once a time when these types of movies almost never came out. Hell, there was a time when studios would actively avoid the word “comic book” in their marketing because it was considered box office poison to a movie. Such was the case with M. Night Shyamalan’s Unbreakable, a film that brought a unique, grounded superhero sensibility before superheroes really hit it big.

A couple years back, he followed it up that film with the surprising Split, which introduced James McAvoy as the Beast and reintroduced Bruce Willis’ character from that first film. Now, as revealed by a new teaser for the third film in this franchise, Glass, his character has a superhero name: The Overseer. Check out the teaser below.

In addition to the above teaser, they also released another yesterday that highlighted James McAvoy’s the Beast.

Of course, this leaves them with one more teaser to make for Samuel L. Jackson’s titular Mr. Glass, which will likely hit tomorrow at some point. This is all leading up to a brand-new trailer this coming Thursday.

Honestly, I’m a bit surprised they’re getting ready to release another trailer so soon. With the film eyeing a January 2019 release date, I would have imagined a late November trailer date to be best — maybe even December, if they can swing it. But who knows. Maybe they’ll have one more trailer for us sooner rather than later.
