Unbreakable fans, prepare your bodies, because the first few seconds of the trailer for Glass will send nostalgic chills down your spine. Right from the get-go, it’s clear M. Night Shyamalan is ready to pack in the fan service, as the theme from the original film is present and accounted for in this threequel.
In it, we are introduced to a heavily-medicated Mr. Glass, who has spent recent years in a daze. But when a psychologist comes by to “treat” them for their illness of grandeur, it sets events into motion that prompt him to go forth with his master plan: revealing the presence of superheroes to the entire world.

Below is the official synopsis to Glass:
“From Unbreakable, Bruce Willis returns as David Dunn as does Samuel L. Jackson as Elijah Price, known also by his pseudonym Mr. Glass. Joining from Split are James McAvoy, reprising his role as Kevin Wendell Crumb and the multiple identities who reside within, and Anya Taylor-Joy as Casey Cooke, the only captive to survive an encounter with The Beast.
Following the conclusion of Split, Glass finds Dunn pursuing Crumb’s superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men.”
Personally, I think they may have shown a bit too much in this trailer, but I do love that it seems to be straddling three separate lines: the character building of Unbreakable, the thrill of Split, and the epic nature of its own design. Will it be able to bring those three elements together successfully? We can only hope.
