Godzilla: King of the Monsters is due for release on May 31 this year and we have been told by press release that the trailer will be hitting the web later today. Originally it was thought that the trailer was going to hit yesterday for the sequel monster movie. Legendary Pictures has also released a new poster for the movie which you can check out below.
The sequel to Godzilla will feature the King of the monsters going up against Mothra, Rodan and his Nemesis the three-headed King Ghidorah, again the crypto-zoological agency Monarch will be heavily featured in this movie as the stakes are raised.
Speculation runs rife that Dr. Emma Russell (Vera Farmiga) will be somehow responsible for setting off these titans against one another. Russell’s daughter Madison played by Stranger Things’ Millie Bobby Brown and her Father Mark (Kyle Chandler) appear to be dealing with the after-effects of Emma’s actions. But until we see the trailer we are speculating on much of this plot based on the small bits of information we have already.

I for one am hoping that the trailer really lets loose on some monster v monster action when it arrives later. The first movie whilst I enjoyed it, I also felt it needed more time with the stars aka the monsters and less time with some of the Human characters. The trailer for the first Godzilla movie was hailed by some as one of the best trailers to release in years, so can Godzilla: King of the Monsters trailer match up to that praise?
King of the Monsters will be followed sometime in 2020 by Godzilla Vs Kong, so we can pretty much guarantee that Godzilla manages to best his opponents somehow in this movie. Shock horror right?
