Gotham’s Extended Trailer “See Your Own Darkness” Shows Us Gotham’s Madness

If you thought Fox’s Gotham was insane before, it would seem like the second half of Season 4 is about to be nuts thanks to their extended trailer, “See Your Own Darkness,” that was released today. Caution for those not caught up on this Season of Gotham as this contains several SPOILERS.

The trailer, which you can see above, spends the first half catching everyone up on the events of the first half of Season 4. Everything from Bruce, played by David Mazouz, taking on a vigilante persona all the way to the end which featured the return on Jerome, played by Cameron Monaghan.

Some of the highlights of what is coming up in March from Gotham include the emergence of Ivy Pepper, played by the Flash veteran Peyton List, who looks to have gained some of those classic Poison Ivy abilities that we are familiar with. With the classic Poison Ivy being so adamant on protecting the green it will be interesting to see what her motives are and who she allies with. In one segment we see her kiss Bruce which is alarming knowing what she is capable of.

Speaking of Bruce, it seems like we are finally going to get the introduction of the bat symbolism into Bruce’s life. This comes just in time for Ra’s al Ghul, played by Alexander Siddeig to re-appear in Gotham as Bruce is still struggling with his identity. Also, we’ll get to see how the relationship between Jerome and Oswald Cobblepot, played by Robin Lord Taylor, develop in Arkham Asylum. Last we continue to see Jim Gordon continue to have issues with past and present women in his life.

How all this and more comes together, we’ll have to tune into FOX on Thursdays to find out starting March 1. Gotham is a decent show as long as you enjoy it as an “elseworld” story and not like the actual origin for Batman, because at this point it’s clear that it’s not what we are watching. But overall, it looks like a very interesting second half.
