Guardians Of The Galaxy 3: Adam McKay Says He’s Been Approached By Marvel Studios

Who’d like to see director Adam McKay take on a Marvel Studios film? If you’re not raising your hand on that one, you damn well should be, because that movie would be absolutely fantastic. The man has a talent for sharing very serious and potentially-dry things in the most entertaining way possible, which is an invaluable skill in filmmaking.

Well, apparently, Marvel Studios has already had conversations with McKay — and apparently, they’ve even discussed Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Inhumans (the latter of which I assume was before it ventured over to TV). But, before you get excited, he turned them down, so don’t expect to see this.

“We’ve talked a little bit. Yeah,” McKay told the Happy Sad Confused podcast in regards to Guardians 3. “We were kicking around the idea of the Inhumans at one point. We’re always kind of talking. I think Feige is just the greatest and what they’re doing is amazing.”

That would certainly be an interesting prospect, but it sounds like the man is waiting around for the perfect project for him. Given how crazy and weird the studio will likely be willing to go in Phase 4, I’m sure we won’t have to wait long.

In one more final note, McKay also said he thinks they were throwing around the idea of Nova — though who knows how far along they are, with this stuff, right? They’re probably at various stages with 152 projects at all times.
