Has Daredevil’s Bullseye Been Unmasked?

Previously, Hart of Dixie alum Wilson Bethel joined Daredevil Season 3 in “a critical role.” Now, we may know who he is playing.

The Hashtag Show (via CBR) reports that Bethel is playing an FBI agent “Steve,” who is actually the mercenary villain Bullseye.

The Hashtag Show further speculates that Bethel’s adaptation of Bullseye may be based on a version of the character from writer Jason Aaron’s run on Punisher Max.

Bullseye is a classic Daredevil villain, and was likely not used sooner due to his delightfully goofy portrayal by Colin Farrell in the not-so-delighfully crappy film Daredevil (2003). Seriously, rehabilitating this character will be no easier than fixing Two-Face’s reputation after Batman Forever. But, time helps, so now it is the time to update Bullseye for the dark Netflix Marvel Universe.

Bethel is best known form playing Wade Kinsella on CW’s Hart of Dixie. Since then, he has appeared on other shows including The Astronaut Wives Club, Blood & Oil, and How to Get Away with Murder. He certainly looks to be an even match for Charlie Cox’s Daredevil based on the above picture… before he even trained for a superhero show!

There is still no official release date for Daredevil Season 3. It is likely to return sometime this year, under new showrunner Erik Oleson.
