Last night, while we were busy shining a spotlight on some troubling remarks made about Wonder Woman (which you can see by CLICKING HERE!), someone else was busy planting the seed of another rumor on the net. Ryan Reynolds posted an image on his Instagram account that’s got an awful lot of tongues wagging this morning, because everyone’s wondering if he just revealed who’ll be playing Cable in Deadpool 2.

See, for months, all eyes have been on potential suitors for the role of Cable in Deadpool 2. From actors like Stephen Lang and Ron Perlman throwing their names into the hat, to thespians like Kyle Chandler being mentioned as frontrunners, and fan campaigns for guys like Dolph Lundgren to get the role, it seems everyone’s keen to find out who’ll eventually land the part.

Now, thanks to this post by Reynolds, a name that was on nobody‘s radar is suddenly looking like a possibility: Pierce Brosnan!

Wolvie. Bond. Wade.

As you can see by their “Hear no evil, say no evil, see no evil” pose, Hugh Jackman, Brosnan, and Reynolds seem to be hinting that they’ve got some sort of secret up their sleeves. Both Jackman and Reynolds have been immersed in all things Fox/Marvel lately, with Jackman promoting Logan and Reynolds getting everything in place for Deadpool 2, it’s curious that they’d put this out there.

Brosnan, of course, has the right look for the part. The 63 year old former James Bond can definitely pull off a grizzled older mutant who has to forge an unlikely partnership with Deadpool. While some critics used to argue that he lacked a true sense of danger and killer instinct during his run as Bond (I’ll never forget when a critic described as being like the Groom figurine on the top of a wedding cake), he’s shown himself to be quite capable of playing less-polished, more edgy characters in films like The November Man and No Escape

An artist who goes by the name of BossLogic even shared this tweet of a mock-up he designed of Brosnan as Cable for ComicBook.com:

So people definitely seem to be excited by this possibility.

What do you think? Was Reynolds just sharing a fun pic of himself with a couple of cool gents? Or is Brosnan being groomed to take on the role of Cable in Deadpool 2? Sound off below!
