Have Game Of Thrones Final Episodes’ Runtimes Been Revealed?

It’s almost here. Within the next handful of months or so, audiences will have answers to all their deepest darkest questions concerning all things Game of Thrones — at least as far as the HBO series is concerned. The show will be entering its final season this coming April, and given it only comes bearing six episodes, each minute of screen time will be valuable to fans.

Ever since the beginning, there have been rumblings that this season will feature longer-than-normal episodes, with some reports saying each one will be feature-length or so. But how true is that? Admittedly, it’s hard to say even now, as they are still in the cutting phase, but it looks like HBO at least has a base idea of what to expect, as reported by Premiere, who had a chance to attend an event where French TV channels were showing off some of their upcoming content.

In a tweet, Premiere essentially says the first two episodes of the season will be 60 minutes apiece and the last four will be 80 minutes. The folks over at WinterisComing.net broke that down for us in an easier-to-read list here that gives us an idea of what to expect.

– Episode 801: 60 minutes
– Episode 802: 60 minutes
– Episode 803: 80 minutes
– Episode 804: 80 minutes
– Episode 805: 80 minutes
– Episode 806: 80 minutes

Now, it’s important to keep in mind that none of this is final, but it seems to at least give us an idea of what to expect. I wouldn’t be surprised if this disappoints many fans out there though. While this is more content than normal per episode, it’s still only six episodes, and the scuttlebutt out there beforehand was that each episode would likely be around 90 minutes.

But, at the end of the day, it’s more important that the content is good and the filmmakers certainly have their work cut out for them on that front. But what do you think? Are you happy about these rumored runtimes? Let us know your thoughts down below!
