It’s been over a decade since the fan-favorite sitcom Friends went off the air, and in the time since then, it’s somehow become even more popular, with it discovering plenty of new audiences on Netflix. Hilariously enough, it won’t even be Netflix by benefits from the generational exposure.

Variety is reporting that fans will be getting a reunion special for the series. Sadly, it won’t be an actual revival series, and will be more of the unscripted nature, but it is in the works nonetheless.

All of the original main cast are in discussions to appear (I mean, obviously), along with the co-creators of the series. At this point, there are no details as to what the special will actually be like, but considering they’re still trying to get the cast on board, I’m assuming that’s all up in the air.

Given recent comments from Kauffman in the cast, you can rest assured though that there won’t be a proper reunion show, reboot, or revival. The producers seem far too respectful of the legacy they left behind, and even Jennifer Aniston recently stated she’d love to do one but the producers wouldn’t let her.
