HBO’s Silicon Valley’s Trailer Shows Us What’s Ahead For Pied Piper

Since 2014 HBO’s Silicon Valley has been brought to our homes a group of guys that have done everything they can to make their startup company Pied Piper a success in the tech capital of Silicon Valley, California. Now in 2019 we are getting close to the start of the series’ final season that is set to make it’s debut next week. By the end of season five, we saw Richard Hendricks’ company become very successful, while Hooli their main competitor had just been bought out by Amazon. But we all know what happens when you make it to the top, sure your profits get bigger but so do your problems. Today we get our first look at what season six of Silicon Valley has in store for us. Check out the trailer above!

As we can see Richard played by Thomas Middleditch, Dinesh played by Kumail Nanjiani, Gilfoyle played by Martin Starr and Jared played by Zach Woods are now in charge of running a billion dollar business. With that comes the scrutiny of the federal government. This of course is a play on real life events of Mark Zuckerberg, who had to testify before Congress about the security of it’s user’s data back in 2008. Also like we have seen in the past few season Gavin Belson is still having having issues with Hooli as it seemingly now shares a space with El Pollo Loco, a fast food chicken chain restaurant. It also takes a shot at the beginning of the trailer to the devices that listen to our conversations, as he discovers a program that takes what you are saying and modifies your internet or gaming experience to your likes. This of course leads of a bunch of porn popping up on his screen. Last but not least, who is this buyer who has offered them one billion dollars?

It looks like it’s going to be another funny and entertaining season of Silicon Valley. I am very curious to see how the writers will wrap this series up. One interesting thing I saw in the trailer is that they are back at the incubator at some point, which makes me wonder, do they sell or lose it all? With Silicon Valley concluding with season six, this will be the third series this season that HBO is ending in 2019 the other two were Game of Thrones and Veep. Can they continue their successful run of shows in 2020?
