Hellboy Is Legendary AF In New Poster

Before you flame me for that Generation Z-bait title, no I didn’t sport that tagline. That’s all Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the upcoming Hellboy reboot, which will see David Harbour take on the role of the comic book character Ron Perlman originally brought to life on the big screen.

It’s been a hot minute since we’ve had any other solid details hit the web for Hellboy. The film was shot a while ago, but has since faced a delay, and with the film still around six-plus months away, I didn’t expect to see much of anything for at least another month. But, in advance of New York Comic Con, they have opted to reveal the new poster on their official Twitter account, which you can check out below.

As you can see, they have a comic book-accurate logo, as well a much darker looking aesthetic for the title character, but I’d like to point to above the logo…that’s where I got the title from. Admittedly, though, as cool as this looks (and man, does it look cool), that tagline really has me a bit concerned. Will this film end up trying to be too “hip” for its own good (as a rule of thumb, anyone who says the word “hip” probably isn’t, so take from that what you will), thereby deadening its credibility?

Well, I think I’d be getting ahead of myself too much if I dismissed it on those grounds alone, but it’s something to be aware of. Though regardless of my tagline thoughts, I don’t think it’s inaccurate to call this poster badass, so I’ll just leave it at that. This poster is badass.

But what do you think? Let us know down below!
