Hellraiser To Start Raising Hell On TV

That title was coming from some outlet and you know it. For those of you that don’t know, Hellraiser is a horror series that features a group of bad guys known as the Cenobites (which sounds like a tasty cinnamon treat) that are headed up by the iconic Pinhead. These horrific creatures play incredibly rough with extreme sadomasochism and scared the pants off of many people in the 80s and 90s with countless sequels. Now there is a TV series in the works.

According to Deadline the series will be produced by Roy Lee (It) and Dan Farah (Ready Player One). They will also be joined by the rights holders Lawrence Kuppin, David Salzman, and Eric Gardner. The report also states that the series will use the films’ mythology to set up a new story that could be either an anthology or more traditional series with an overarching narrative.

I am a big fan of horror, so I am looking forward to see what will become of this. I do wonder if this will end up on a streaming service or cable channel like Showtime or HBO, which would enable much more extreme content than a channel like AMC.
