Avenger’s Endgame star Chris Hemsworth is teaming up again, but instead of The Guardians of The Galaxy, he’s partnering with Girls Trip’s Tiffany Haddish. Together the two will bring the gut-busting laughs in the upcoming comedy Down Under Cover. The film is being billed as being in the vein of classic buddy cop comedies 48 Hours and Rush Hour.
Down Under Cover will follow the antics of these two comedians. The plot follows Hemsworth and Haddish efforts as Detectives to solve a string of casino heists. The prime suspects are a group of Australian male erotic dancers. Detective Hemsworth partners with Haddish, the partner no one wants, and together they will rain their law enforcement fury down onto these pole crawlers. Part of me is certain the plot may showcase Hemsworth doing the Kansas City Peeler.

I have two questions. Since every cop has a boss. Who is going to play the antsy hard-ass police chief and who will play the criminal foil to Hemsworth and Haddish’s policing efforts? If there’s a God out there please include Garey Busey, Channing Tatum, and Matthew McConaughey. Specifically, in that order.
I can’t wait for the trailer. Hemsworth serves up a very unique brand of comedy. From his role as Thor to Cabin In The Woods, Vacation, and Ghostbusters. Hemsworth has definitely bloomed into quite the comedic force. Haddish burst onto the scene with the 2017 film Girls Trip and hasn’t shown any sign of slowing her momentum since. No release date has been announced, but it’s likely to premiere in 2020.
