Henry Cavill’s Agent Tweets Regarding Superman News, Statement From WB Forthcoming

Early this morning, The Hollywood Reporter broke the story that Henry Cavill will no longer be sporting the “S” and cape for the DC Extended Universe. The reports came from a story alleging that due to scheduling conflicts, Cavill would not be able to cameo in the upcoming Shazam! film. How that news automatically spawns into Cavill giving up the role of Superman seems a bit extreme, but that’s what the story seems to be.

However, shortly after the breaking of the story came a tweet from Cavill’s representative Dany Garcia, the founder of The Garcia Companies, a talent and media management company. In the tweet, Garcia tells fans to “be peaceful”, a partnership with DC still exists and that statement by Warner Bros. will be made later in the day.

Before creating her company and representing Cavill, Garcia helped create Seven Bucks Productions with her business partner, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Garcia and Johnson divorced in 2008 after 11 years of marriage, but remain close as friends and business partners. Johnson is still slated to portray Black Adam in the DCEU and he and Cavill took an Instagram photo together a few Christmases back, possibly symbolizing the addition of Johnson to the DCEU and Cavill to The Garcia Companies. Garcia’s company also oversees the operations of Seven Bucks Productions.

So, until we hear from Warner Bros. later today, everything still seems up in the air. How do you feel about all this? Leave your comments below!
