Honest Trailer For IT Doesn’t Pull Its Nostalgic Punches

Ah, it’s that wonderful time of the month where Screen Junkies releases their Honest Trailer for the latest movie release! (It might be weekly?… or every other week?… I just watch ‘em as I see ‘em.)

This month (week?) we get the Honest Trailer for IT, one of the highest grossing movies of 2017, as well as the highest grossing horror movie of all time.

That’s pretty brutal, Screen Junkies! Once and awhile Honest Trailers like a movie so much that they don’t completely rip it apart. For example, the Honest Trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier admitted it had to get really nit-picky to insult the film. The Honest Trailer for IT however… they just bash it from the get-go!

As a fan of the book (well, I’m still only half way through it), I’m pleased the slight the movie shows towards Mike, a major character in the book, is addressed. And there’s nothing like completing the cycle that starts with IT, hits Stranger Things, and returns to IT

Personally, I am still riding this ‘80s nostalgia train as far as it will take me, so why insult it?

Anyway, it’s another great Honest Trailer, whether I agree about all the complaints or not, but what do YOU think? Was Screen Junkies overly harsh on IT? Is there another issue that disappointed you that you wished they addressed? Let us know in the comment section below!
