Hugh Jackman Claims Responsibility For Ryan Reynolds’ Career In New Video

We all knew this was coming. Actors Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds have been at each other’s throats for years now, and it was only a matter of time before the gloves truly came off between the two. Well, it looks like something’s gone down behind the scenes, and Hugh Jackman has seen fit to reveal the truth via a new video on his official Twitter profile.

“The Truth: He’s been riding Hugh Jackman’s coattails since 2009,” Jackman states in the video (for some reason, in the third person), “when Hugh hand-selected him to star in X-Men Origins: Wolverine in the universally-acclaimed, best portrayal of Wade Wilson ever.” You can check out the video in its entirety down below.

Okay, of course, this is a big gag. Jackman and Reynolds have been busting each others’ balls for years now, and when all said and done, it looks to be a well-meaning ad for Once Upon a Deadpool. More importantly, it points out that some of the proceeds go to the Fudge Cancer charity, which is, without a doubt a noble cause.

Not so noble are the repercussions, as Jackman states.

“Please do it, or he might make another Van Wilder movie. Or worse yet, Green Lantern.”

Well, I guess we have to see this weird, experimental, PG-13 Deadpool film, now don’t we? Once Upon a Deadpool hits theaters on December 12, 2018.
