Hulu To Adapt Stephen King’s Eyes Of The Dragon

According to Deadline Stephen King’s turn into fantasy, Eyes of the Dragon, is set to be adapted into a television series by Hulu. The book tells the story of a scheming magician who plots against a royal family. I haven’t read the novel, but the thought of a fantasy world created by Stephen King is interesting to say the least.

Seth Grahame-Smith (Lego Batman Movie) is set to serve as the series’ showrunner as well as pen the first episode. He recently spoke with Deadline about the project, you can check out what he had to say below.

“I am so excited to be working in the world of Stephen King with with Hulu, which has such a terrific track record with Stephen King adaptations. The goal for this series is to feel unlike any Stephen King adaptation before, with this rich underlying source material, and the only true fantasy book he wrote that has kings and swords and princesses. We will honor the spirit of the book and the legacy.”

Fans of Game of Thrones may turn to Eyes of the Dragon once the tale of Westeros is told (which will be this Sunday), but personally I am more excited for the upcoming adaptation of The Kingskiller Chronicle. Having said that, I enjoy most of the adaptations of King’s works and will surely give Eyes of the Dragon a shot when the time comes.

Haven you read Eyes of the Dragon, if so are you excited it’s being adapted? Let us know in the comments down below!
