Incredibles 2 Sneak Peek: Bringing Supers Back Into The Spotlight

After over a decade of waiting, Disney and Pixar have finally released an honest-to-goodness first look at the upcoming superhero sequel, Incredibles 2. It may have been years for us, but to the Parrs, we’re picking up right where we left off — against the Underminer.

Following his escapade against Syndrome, it looks like the superfamily has gotten the attention fo some rich tycoon, who wants to help them bring superheroes back into the spotlight for the first time in forever. However, instead of Mr. Incredible, he wants Elastigirl, leaving Bob behind to care for the kids while she’s gone.

I don’t know about you, but some of the best-written and entertaining stuff in the first film revolved around the family life. It was low-key and relatable in a way the rest of the film wasn’t. Luckily, with Bob at home, we’ll likely be getting plenty of that (that math scene in the teaser is golden).

The official synopsis for Incredibles 2 is below:

“In Incredibles 2, Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is called on to lead a campaign to bring Supers back, while Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) navigates the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell), Dash (voice of Huck Milner) and baby Jack-Jack—whose superpowers are about to be discovered. Their mission is derailed, however, when a new villain emerges with a brilliant and dangerous plot that threatens everything. But the Parrs don’t shy away from a challenge, especially with Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) by their side. That’s what makes this family so Incredible.”
